The Covid-19 vaccine distribution campaign in the United States began as cargo trucks left Pfizer's production facility in Michigan.

A series of trucks carrying vaccine containers of Covid-19 began with Pfizer's factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan, on the morning of December 13 and began the campaign to distribute the largest, most complex vaccine in American history.

Each Pfizer dry ice-cooled container can hold 4,875 doses of vaccine.

The other 636 locations will receive the vaccine on December 15-16.

Despite months of preparation, distributing and vaccinating 330 million Americans remains a huge logistical challenge, added General Perna.

UPS, FedEx said vaccines are a top priority and will have space on planes and trucks amid rising freight demand due to pandemic and year-end shopping season.
