Germany10 people were injured when a car rushed into a parade in the town of Volkmarsen today, whether it was an accident or an attack.
The incident occurred in the town of Volkmarsen, about 423 km west of Berlin, Berlin at 14:30 today (20:30 Hanoi time). Police arrested the driver, but did not say whether it was an accident or if the person intentionally rushed into the crowd. "It's too early to draw conclusions," the town police spokesman said.
Field footage showed police and rescue workers surrounded by a silver car surrounded by debris scattered on the ground. Local media said at least 15 people were injured, including "many children".
Witnesses said the driver apparently deliberately crashed into the children during the parade while "maximizing throttle". The incident happened less than a week after a gunman shot and killed 10 people and killed himself in the town of Nahau, western Germany.
