The fire on the chemical container ship off Sri Lanka lasted until Friday.

The Sri Lankan Air Force used helicopters to drop about 425 kg of fire resistant chemicals to the ship on May 26.
"Computer model shows any oil spill from the ship will reach Negombo Beach and we are ready to handle," she said.
The train and naval vessel led the effort to extinguish fire, three Indian charming ships participated in the effort on May 26.
In September 2020, a crude oil tanker caught off off the east coast of Sri Lanka, after the machine explosion made a sailor died.
