It is unclear whether Israel will defeat Sinwar or simply send a warning message to this movement.

As the highest political leader in Gaza, was selected in a secret internal election of Hamas in 2017 and re-elected this year, Sinwar was considered a high position equivalent to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

But when Netanyahu offers statements on television and shared updates on social networks, Sinwar withdraws into secret operations, maintaining almost complete silence during the most serious conflict in Gaza

Instead, Ismail Haniyeh, former political leaders in Gaza and the leading political leader of Hamas in Qatar, and Muhammed Deif, the military wing head of the movement, was visible to send the messages

Born at a refugee camp in Khan Yunis in 1962 under Egypt ruled, Sinwar was a student leader before becoming one of Hamas's military wing heads in the 1980s.

Israel arrested Sinwar three times in 1982, 1985 and 1988. After the last arrest, he was sentenced to life imprisonment because of the role of mastermind in the kidnapping and killing two Israeli soldiers, but was released after 22

Considered a legend in Gaza due to the military platform and imprisonment time, as well as a close relationship with the locality, Sinwar began to be interested in Israeli analysts after he was elected to the leader position

"On his face is a tough leader. On the other hand, I want to say in the past 4 or 5 years, he behaved in a much more responsible way," Kobi Michael, analyst and former major officials

In the conflicts along the gaza border in 2018 and 2019, Michael said that Sinwar tried to promote the role of Egyptian mediation, and strive to improve the humanitarian and economic situation in the Gaza Strip.

Before Hamas's internal election in 2021, Sinwar wanted to "accept all concessions" to ensure the election was held throughout Palestinian territory, even though this was controversial within Hamas, according to IMAD Alsoos,

Hamas, the acronym for the Muslim resistance movement in Arabian, was founded immediately after the Palestinian Anti-Israeli rebels (Intifada) exploded in December 1987 by Magician Ahmad Yassin and many

The initial movement has two purposes: implementing armed struggle against Israeli occupation and promoting religious agenda through social work and religious training.

Hamas Qassam Brigade, was founded in 1991, structured as a secret and separate military wing.

The political leadership role of the movement is divided to officials across Palestinian territory and people outside their borders.

Hamas Ismail Haniyeh's top leader spoke in the demonstration in Doha, Qatar on May 15.

The leading leader Haniyeh is currently in Qatar, the country is more sympathetic with Islamic movements and sponsors Hamas.

Daniel Byman, an anti-terrorist and Security Specialist at Brookings Institute, said the arrangement of senior abroad leaders helped Hamas to raise funds, as well as communicating messages and connecting to the Palestinian community

But directly present at the Gaza Strip made Sinwar a leader with a great influence on Hamas.

Michael said that Hamas leaders in Qatar are quite separate from real life in Gaza Strip.

The level of control of political leaders Hamas for military operations of the group is not clear.

"They are not separate wings and they can be proud to declare 'we are warriors' when election", he said.

The existence and influence of military wings have made Hamas's political attempt to become complicated.

Analysts argue that Hamas is using an armed confrontation with Israel to attract political support, after Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas canceled expected elections this month.

Adam Taylor and Claire Parker, two analysts of Washington Post, said that the main political leaders of Hamas were finally decided to turn on the green light or block the ceasefire command.

It was the overlap and unclear among the different parts of Hamas that made Israel take a long time in determining the goal.

Israel had assassinated Yassin and Abdel Angiz Rantisi, another founder of Hamas, 2004. Mesha survived Israel's assassination efforts in 1997, when Mossad's agencies, Israel's agencies,

Jordan officials arrested Mossad agents and under pressure from the President Bill Clinton government, Netanyahu delivered toxic drugs and saved Meshal.

"Israel continuously targets political leaders, but often attacks more into Hamas military commanders. Therefore, targeting political leaders is just a pressure increase with the group

Kill Sinwar will "not make a difference" for Hamas in the long term, according to Alsoos.

"There is no space for such a leader in Hamas internally, because this organization is always standing on its leader," he said.
