The Minister of European European issues warned of the uncertainty when the Italian Prime Minister, one of the continental pillars, resigned.

Italy will enter a less stable period than before and the uncertainty makes everyone unable to feel secure, Laurence Boone, Minister of European issues of France, said in today's interview.

The statement was made by Boone in the context of Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi resigned to President Sergio Mattarella.

The Italian president recorded the resignation of Mr. Draghi, but still decided to maintain the government to continue his current work.

I assess that Mr. Draghi is an outstanding politician, an effective French partner and a pillar of Europe, Boone added.

Mr. Draghi, 74, has a relationship with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Italian President Mattarella applied for the resignation of Prime Minister Draghi, asking him to dialogue with the National Assembly to find solutions for the political crisis.

The 5 -star movement threatened to withdraw from the ruling alliance, causing the Italian government to collapse.
