First lady Melania 2017 delayed her move from New York to the White House because she wanted to renegotiate the marriage agreement with Trump, according to the forthcoming book.
Sources close to Melania said she wanted to "revise the financial deal with Trump, what Melania called" looking after Barron "," author Mary Jordan, Washington Post correspondent, wrote in "The Art of Satisfaction."
The book said Melania needed time to "cool down" after US President Donald Trump was accused of "carelessness in sex".
"She wants the text to prove that when it comes to financial opportunities and inheritance, Barron will be treated on equal terms with Trump's three oldest children," Jordan wrote in the book.
Trump has repeatedly backed the idea of protecting wealth with a pre-marriage deal.
Chief Justice of the First Lady, Stephanie Grisham, dismissed the information mentioned in the book.
Melania's delay in moving to Washington after Trump's election was thought to be to keep life as normal as possible for Barron's son, then 10 years old.
CNN reported that Melania did not have a team of experienced political advisors to help her know what to do, even if she did not follow the recommendations.
