Russia today recorded an additional 9,268 people infected with nCoV, bringing the country's total number of cases to 405,843.
Russian health authorities also reported 4,693 deaths from Covid-19, after recording 138 more deaths in the past 24 hours.
Moscow, the Russian center of the Covid-19 epidemic, announced on May 29 that it changed its way of calculating the number of deaths from nCoV in April, including "cases of doubt and controversy".
Moscow is said to have "avoided the worst scenario" and will relax its blockade from June 1.
The Russian Ministry of Health on 30 May said it approved the first Covid-19 drug, called Avifavir, manufactured by the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and ChemRar Group.
Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko also said that the country's scientists are working on about 50 projects to develop nCoV vaccines to combat the pandemic that is raging around the globe, making nearly 6.2 million people infected and more than
