Information on the death of Princess Bopha Devi was confirmed by the Royal Cambodian Kingdom in a Facebook post today. She was determined to die for a "natural cause".
Princess Bopha Devi is the daughter of the late King Norodom Sihanouk and the half-sister of King Norodom Sihamoni.
When she was young, Princess Bopha Devi was a famous dancer with Apsara dance, traditional dance often performed in the palace for entertainment and on occasions.
After the fall of the Khmer Rouge genocide, she became the minister of culture and art from 1998 to 2004 and helped revive the Apsara dance when setting up the royal dance troupe in the early 1990s. .
