The U.S. infiltrated the backyard of a house in Fresno, California and opened fire on a crowd watching a football match on TV, leaving 10 people hit.
About 35 people gathered at a family dinner on November 17 to watch a rugby game on television when the suspect came in and opened fire. Fresno City police, California received many calls to notify the shooting and quickly arrived at the scene.
"Four men aged 25-30 died after the shootings, of which three died at the scene and one died at the hospital. Six were slightly injured and were being treated," said the police lieutenant. Bill Dooley said in a press conference.
Police have not released the identities of the victims, but said they were all of Asian descent.
Deputy police chief Michael Reid said they had not detected signs that the suspect knew the victims or was involved in gang crime. "I would like to express my condolences to families who are victims of this pointless violence. We will do everything to find the culprit and bring him to justice," Reid said.
It is not clear how many suspects were involved in the attack or the type of weapon used. The police are investigating the scene and examining surrounding surveillance cameras as well as taking testimony of witnesses.
