The pistol-puller shot and killed three people on a street near the National Palace, the residence of the President, and was later shot dead by police.
The preliminary report showed that an armed man on December 7 walked into a building on a small street near the National Palace, the residence of the President, in Mexico City to go to the toilet. After quarreling with two people in the building, he pulled out the pistol and aimed it.
When police arrived at the scene, they saw four injured people lying in the yard of the building and shot dead gunmen. Two of the injured 4 died at the scene, while the third died on the way to emergency.
President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador was in southeastern Mexico when the incident occurred. More than 100 police officers were deployed to the scene and sealed off the street.
The building of the shooting occurred on a narrow street leading to the entrance to the National Palace. Government employees and reporters daily still pass by this street.
