In these cases, CCDC identified about 81% of cases of minor illnesses, 13.8% of serious cases and 4.7% of critical cases. 49% of critical cases have died.

The study found an average mortality rate of Covid-19 epidemic was 2.3%, but the rate increased gradually by age group, especially for those aged 60 and over. Accordingly, the group of patients 40-49 years old has a mortality rate of less than 0.5%, while this rate among people aged 60-69 years is about 3.5%. The death rate among people 80 years of age and older is 14.8%.

This rate is calculated by the total number of deaths due to the disease divided by the total number of cases. In addition, people with underlying medical conditions, such as cardiovascular disease, also increase the risk of death.
