North Korea today reports the first suspected case of nCoV infection, believed to be in an unauthorized person crossing the country.

North Korea's central news agency KCNA reported the suspected case was a man who had fled to South Korea three years ago and returned home on July 19.

If confirmed, this would be the first nCoV infection to be announced by the Korean government.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un held an emergency meeting yesterday with members of the political ministry to discuss "a dangerous situation ... that could lead to a deadly, devastating disaster."

Despite taking strict precautions, "the deadly virus still seems to penetrate the country," the North Korean leader said, adding that the government had "completely blocked" the city of Kaesong since the 24th.
