An old acquaintance said Warner, a suicide bombing suspect in downtown Nashville on Christmas Day, hated police and was addicted to marijuana.

"I used to be Tony's maid. He's a pretty freak, with long hair and a thick mustache," said Tom Lundborg, former colleague of Anthony Quinn Warner, a downtown Nashville bombing suspect.

Lundborg said he worked with Warner at a company that specializes in installing alarm devices A.C.E.

Lundborg said that when they were driving on the street, if Warner saw a policeman, he would start complaining about the force.

The former colleague said Warner had served in the US Navy and liked to smoke marijuana.

Lundborg added that he spoke with the FBI about Warner, when authorities tried to find out the suspect's motive for the blast on Christmas Day, injuring eight people and destroying many buildings.

The motive of the bombing remains unclear, but investigators are believed to be considering whether Warner was motivated by conspiracy theories that Americans were being tracked by 5G technology.

When asked about Warner's suicide bombing, Lundborg said he was shocked.

Lundborg last met Warner in 2007, when he worked as an information technology technician for a Chevrolet dealership in Nashville.

The explosion in downtown Nashville occurred at 6:30 a.m., after a parked picnic car alerted people to quickly evacuate, warning the car would explode in minutes.

Car bombing in the US is rare.
