Rosmah Mansor, wife of former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak, spends more than $ 24,000 a month on her image protection group on social media.
Malaysia's Supreme Court on 9/9 heard corruption charges related to Ms. Rosmah.
"This team is responsible for refuting, explaining all the slander and accusing Ms. Rosmah to the public," said Mr. Rizal Mansor.
Rosmah, 69, faces a series of charges, including accepting bribes and money laundering related to a solar energy project worth up to RM 1.25 billion (more than $ 300 million) for schools in Malaysia.
Rizal, 46, a witness in the court yesterday, said in 2009 he was recruited into the Office of the First Lady of Malaysia, and used to take on the main job of protecting the image and reputation of Rosmah from public opinion.
He was also the CEO of media conglomerate Media Prima, in charge of media relations for the prime minister's wife until mid-2018.
The scandal involving former Prime Minister Najib is believed to have been the main reason for his defeat in the May 2018 elections against his rival Mahathir Mohamad.
Najib is said to have received hundreds of millions of dollars from 1MDB in a personal account, to serve the couple's lavish lifestyle.
Malaysia's Supreme Court in July sent Najib to 12 years in prison on charges related to the corruption scandal at 1MDB, but he will face many other trials in the near future.
