Cuomo objected to the idea, asserting that the President did not discuss it with him.

"If we say we restrict people geographically, it will be a blockade. Then we will turn into Wuhan and that makes no sense," Cuomo said, referring to the city in Ho province. North of China, where disease outbreaks and almost completely isolated. The New York governor also said that such action was illegal and ineffective.

Meanwhile, many states are at risk of becoming new outbreaks. Los Angeles County, California has seen the number of nCoV infections tripled in just 6 days and the momentum hasn't slowed down yet. New outbreaks may occur in Detroit, Chicago and New Orleans. Hospitals and health officials in Chicago, Illinois are gearing up for a surge in patients.

In Louisiana, where the number of deaths increases by more than 40% in one day and there is no sign of decreasing, hospitals are overcrowded. New Orleans, the state's epidemic, is lacking in breathing machines and Covid-19 coping equipment.
