Covid-19 appeared in 89 countries and territories, causing 98,077 people infected with nCoV, of which 3,356 died, an increase of 71 cases compared to yesterday.
The number of infections in Italy and Iran continues to grow rapidly. Italy recorded 769 more positive cases of nCoV, bringing the total number of people infected in the country to 3,858, while this figure in Iran is 3,513.
Italy is also the country with the second highest number of Covid-19 deaths in the world, just behind China, with 148 deaths, an increase of 41 cases compared to the previous day.
South Korea remains the second largest outbreak in the world, recording 6,088 cases, an increase of 467 cases compared to the previous day and 40 deaths. World Health Organization director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the situation in Korea was "showing good signs" as the number of new infections began to decline.
Germany and France recorded a series of new cases, of which the number of nCoV-positive cases in Germany doubled in just one day to 545. France also found 138 new infections, including one congressman, bringing the total number of nCoV-positive cases in the country to 423.
The National Health Commission of China (NHC) has not announced the number of new cases and deaths yesterday.
The number of worldwide infections yesterday increased by 2,769, including 2,748 cases outside China. The world currently records 98,077 cases, 3,356 deaths and 54,140 people have recovered.
