Switzerland has so far recorded 257 deaths from nCoV in 14,336 cases nationwide.
The Swiss health agency today reported that the number of deaths due to nCoV in the country increased by 22 cases compared to yesterday, while the number of cases increased by 1,123 cases, to 14,336 cases. There were 1,595 patients recovered.
Switzerland has one of the highest rates of nCoV testing per capita in the world. The number of nCoV infections in Switzerland is currently 6th in Europe, after Italy, Spain, Germany, France and the UK, although the population is much lower. The first case of nCoV was recorded on February 24 and the area most affected by the disease was the Ticino region in the south.
The Swiss government has ordered the closure of schools and all places of entertainment, entertainment, restaurants, bars and even non-essential goods stores. Last week, authorities imposed a ban on all gatherings of more than five people and anyone who did not keep a minimum distance of two meters from another person would face a penalty.
