"Ivanka certainly has political ambitions, this is not the table. She wants to run for a position, but this still needs to be clarified," a source of CNN said.

Florida could be a potential state for the 2022 Senate race when Republican Senator Marco Rubio's position is re-elected.

"I think Ivanka would be the top candidate if she ran for the Senate to compete with Rubio thanks to her father's reputation in the state," said Adam C Smith, a former political editor.

Speculation that Ivanka ran into the Senate was strengthened after a series of news about the couple spending millions of dollars to buy real estate in Florida, where they could move in the future.

Ivanka was not the only member of the Trump family likely to enter politics after the President left the White House.
