Russian Firefighter lets the cat breathe oxygen from his own oxygen mask after rescuing it from a fire in Tver City.
Video circulating on Russian social networks on November 15 showed firefighters washing the cat's face, then using its oxygen mask to give oxygen to the animal unconscious because of suffocation.
Andrey Meister, the firefighter in the video, said he and his team found the cat in a third-floor apartment while searching for people living in a burnt apartment complex in the western Russian city of Tver. Meister's emergency attempt was successful, and the cat woke up after 7 minutes despite being very tired.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. Authorities deployed 19 fire engines to extinguish the fire, 35 residents and two pets were safely rescued, with no casualties in the fire.
