Freelance photographer Linda Tirado was shot on her left eye on May 29 while reporting on a protest in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

After being hit by bullets, which appeared to be rubber bullets from the police, some protesters took Tirado to the hospital.

"I can still see the flowers and the setting sun, only that I won't know how far they are," she said.

Tirado was one of many reporters arrested or attacked when reporting on demonstrations that were taking place in the United States following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
