China: Two children in Qinghai province were arrested after hiding their return from Wuhan and interacting with others despite being infected with the corona virus.

Police in Qinghai province, northwestern China, said a migrant labor surnamed Gou was under investigation for "public safety threats" for deliberately concealing his visit to Wuhan City, site of outbreak of new strain of coronary pneumonia (nCoV).

Returning from Wuhan, Gou went to a village in Qinghai province last month, but did not report his journey and return date to the local authorities, police said. He also hid symptoms with authorities and remained in constant contact with his neighbors.

"What's particularly bad is that Gou also concealed his son's arrival with him in Wuhan. Gou's son also went out many times and contacted many crowds," according to a police statement.

The father and son were later confirmed to be infected with nCoV and are being quarantined. Qinghai police said the two had violated China's criminal law and infectious disease law.

Last week, Jiangxi, Yunnan, Guangxi and Jiangsu provinces also recorded some similar cases, according to Chinese media.

The outbreak of acute pneumonia caused by nCoV in Wuhan City, capital of Hubei province, from December 2019, spread to 31 provinces in China and 26 countries and territories around the world. As of February 5, the pneumonia epidemic caused by nCoV caused 492 deaths, of which 490 were in mainland China and the number of cases increased to 24,551. China has allowed the addition of an American team of experts to the World Health Organization (WHO) delegation in the country, to study and find ways to deal with nCoV.
