The 8.2 degree earthquake off the Alaska Peninsula caused small tsunami in some areas, before the entire tsunami warning was canceled.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) said the earthquake occurred night 28/7 (noon 29/7 Hanoi) about 91 km southeast of Perryville, Alaska in the southeast.
The center records a small tsunami about 21 cm high compared to tidal squid, with waves hit at least 6 points off the coast of Alaska.

The tsunami warning whistle was broadcast throughout Kodiak, the island with a population of about 6,000 people, along Alaska's coastline.
