Governor Indiana Eric Holcomb today to Taipei, announcing the consolidation of relations with Taiwan, despite the pressure from China.
The Holcomb Governor tweeted that he would also visit Korea, while the Taiwanese leadership office said he would meet Thai English in the morning.
I will devote all energy this week to build new relationships, strengthen long -term relationships and develop important partnerships with Taiwan and South Korea, Mr. Holcomb wrote on Twitter.

Holcomb considered his visit to Taiwan and South Korea as an economic development trip, adding that he was the first US Governor to Taiwan since the Covid-19 epidemic broke out more than two years ago.

The Taiwanese diplomatic agency said that Mr. Holcomb will also meet representatives from the island's semiconductor companies, and will sign many memorandums on trade and technology.
Beijing has not commented on the visit of Governor Indiana.
US House of Representatives Pelosi visited Taiwan on August 2-8, causing tensions in the rising strait.
