President Wavel Ramkalawan's statement is an ambitious goal for a small island nation, separately in the Indian Ocean.
Seychelles's original effort seems to have succeeded, when becoming the country with the world's largest vaccination rate, with 60% of the full vaccination population.
But that success was threatened this week, when the Indian Island Nation is forced to re-establish some limitations, due to the recognition of the largest per capita infection rate ever.
The new infection of the country is relatively low, reaching an average of more than 100 shifts per day, but this is a big problem with a country with a population of less than 100,000 people.
In a small country like Seychelles, a small number of cases can make everything bad.

Seychelles's new outbreak arrived after the island nation opened the tourist door again.
After nearly a year of strict border control, Seychelles earlier this year, announced to reopen for tourists from March 25.
This is an important move for Seychelles, with the tourism industry accounting for a quarter of the national economy.
