Mypatrick Thompson, suspects stabbed two older Asian women in California state, decided to leave the cell to serve in court, causing the session to be postponed.

Judge Brian Ferrall in California's Superior Court on May 7, organized a hearing announcing the indictment of intentional murder, attacking with deadly weapons and escorting the elderly for Thompson.

Chesa Boudin, Prosecutor San Francisco, requires Thompson, 54 years old, must be detained without guaranteed and Judge Ferrall agree.

The original official said the two victims were 65 years and 84, but a family member said the old victim was Chui Fong Eng, 85 years old.

A witness said Thompson carried a big knife before appearing behind the two victims to attack.

The Gofundme page has donated more than $ 98,000 to cover medical expenses for Ms. Eng.

Thompson was arrested in 2017 and was taken into the state's psychiatric hospital after being discovered inadequately in court in the case of a man, the Police Association said.
