The National Lawyer Association against the Spiritual Business said that they received many complaints from the former unified Church member throughout Japan.
As of last year, the Lawyer Association was consulting 47 cases, with a total value of damaged assets about 331.53 million yen (2.38 million USD).

The Lawyers' Association regularly mobilizes Japanese MPs to limit the accidental activities that are considered to support the unified Church and related religious groups.
In September 2021, the Association also sent a letter to Mr. Shinzo Abe after the former Prime Minister recorded a video of the sect.
Lawyer Hiroshi Yamaguchi said the Church unified to actively develop relationships with politicians in order to make it difficult for investigating efforts, increasing believers's confidence and expanding activities more easily.
The woman said she had seen images of the founder of the former Prime Minister Nobusuke Kishi, the grandfather of Shinzo Abe, or former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev.
Those images made me believe that the priest was a truly wonderful person, she said, mentioning Pastor Sun Myung Moon, who was born in 1920 and passed away in 2012. This wife then took on the leader.
The unified Church has not commented on the story of a woman.
The method of making money of the Church unified was controversial and was the reason why Yamagami, the suspect assassinated Mr. Abe, raising hatred for a long time.
