Chinese fighters and reconnaissance aircraft entered the Taiwanese air defense detection zone while President Palau visited the island.

The Taiwan Defense Agency said 10 Chinese military aircraft, including four J-16 heavy fighters, four J-10 light fighters, a KJ-500 early warning aircraft and a hunting plane.

Taiwan's defense forces have deployed fighter jets to monitor the military aircraft group and send out radio warnings.

The announcement comes just 30 minutes after President Palau Surangel Whipps Jr.

The Chinese Ministry of Defense has not yet commented on the operations of the military aircraft group.

China has always considered Taiwan as a province waiting for reunification and declared the use of force if necessary.
