A pregnant woman from California stuck in Kabul said Taliban was hugging Americans to stay in Afghanistan after Washington withdrew.

Nasria, 25, said after the US completed withdrawal on August 31, the Taliban began to search for Americans.

This woman came to Afghanistan in June to visit the family and marry the husband of Afghan nationality.

Nasria described the chaotic scene around Hamid Karzai International Airport when thousands of Afghanistan tried on evacuation flights.

A Taliban member stood guarded at the market in Kabul on September 5.

Nasria added that when she had contacted the US State Department and received a guide to an area near Kabul airport to board the evacuation plane.

American soldiers present at the airport gate only waited for us to walk, but then Taliban blocked us, Nasria said, adding that the gunmen refused to let her continue to go despite the passport.

Nasria's husband asked for the Taliban to allow her to leave Afghanistan alone, but she didn't want to leave without her husband.

After taking control of the country, the Taliban committed to a mild governor than 20 years ago, but many people were skeptical.
