South Korea stopped investigating accusing the Belgian Embassy's wife to attack a clothing seller because she used diplomatic exemptions.

Police Yongsan, Seoul City, today said it would not continue to pursue the investigation by the Belgian Embassy "expressed itself to maintain the diplomatic exemption of Lady Ambassador".

Ambassador Belgian Peter Lescouhier previously expressed "regret about his wife-related incident", adding "he wants to substitimately apologize."

Korea participated in the Vienna Convention, the Convention allowed diplomats and their families to exempt criminal accusations.

Security cameras show Xiang Xueqiu, the Belgian wife in Korea, using hand and hit the head of an employee in the shop selling clothes in Seoul on April 9.
