Russia is paralyzed Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, on the list of terrorist and extreme organizations.
The decision was issued by the Russian Financial Supervision Agency Rosfinmonitoring on October 11, which means that all services provided by Meta are completely banned in Russia and the Russians will not be able to access the commune network platforms.

Famous human rights lawyer Pavel Chikov said that Russia's new move did not change anything, but was a reminder to the people about the risks related to the use of the meta.
Sharing on the Telegram, lawyer Chikov said users may be prosecuted for referring to Meta, though not objectionable to the ban or because of the logo display of the meta applications.
The lawyer added that Russian companies using advertising services on meta may also be accused of participating in the operation of an extremist organization.
This decision of Russia put Meta on the same list with friendly nationalist groups, foreign terrorist organizations such as Taliban, or Russian opposition groups.
