President Nguyen Xuan Phuc received General Hun Manet, Deputy Commander of the Cambodian Army, affirming that the two countries will strengthen cooperation and develop relations.
At the meeting at the Presidential Palace this afternoon, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc believed that the visit to Vietnam of General Hun Manet, Deputy Commander, Commander of the Royal Cambodian Army, will contribute an important contribution to the city.
The President emphasized that Vietnam and Cambodia are two neighboring countries with traditional friendship, and have overcome the struggle to defend the country together.

General Hun Manet, the eldest son of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, expressed his gratitude for the support and assistance of Vietnam in the previous struggle to overthrow the genocide, as well as in land construction and development.
He thanked Vietnam for actively supporting Cambodia in the process of taking on the role of ASEAN President 2022, affirming that the two countries had to unite and stick in the context of the situation of the world and the area complicated.
The two countries highly appreciate the results of defense cooperation, one of the pillars of bilateral relations, and at the same time, the desire to enhance diverse cooperation in many other fields.
President Nguyen Xuan Phuc presented souvenirs to General Hun Manet.
General Hun Manet, 44, was the first Cambodian to graduate from the West Point Military Academy of the United States.
The Central Committee of CPP in December 2021 announced that General Hun Manet was the future Cambodian prime minister.
Deputy Prime Minister Men Sam An said the support and assistance of Vietnam has contributed to bringing Cambodia from a miserable people, separating into a unified, peaceful and developed nation.
Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son affirmed that the special solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia is an invaluable common property that needs to be preserved and developed.
