The C-130H was in distress with the US military in 1988, then transferred to the Philippine Air Force in January to enhance the country's heavy transport capacity.
Major General Edgard Arevalo, the Philippine military spokesman, said the C-130H was in a very good condition, no new and about 11,000 hours of flying before the next maintenance.
The Philippines army has suspended to fly another C-130 transport in the payroll, until the investigation is completed.
