The Philippines government signed a contract to buy 40 million doses of Pfizer-Biontech's vaccine, the largest Vaccine Covid-19 agreement they achieved so far.

The contract will help promote significantly to our national vaccination program, facilitate the implementation of the goal of achieving community immune status at the end of the year.

Galvez describes the contract with Pfizer-Biontech as the largest and most decisive deal that the Philippines has been in this year.

With this contract, the Philippines currently ensures 113 million doses of Vaccine Covid-19 from 5 manufacturers, including 26 million doses from China Sinovac, 10 million doses of Sputnik V Russia, 20 million doses from pharmaceutical companies

At the beginning of the month, the Covid-19 Vaccine delivery status made some cities in the Manila metropolitan area to close the vaccination points, complicated the efforts to accelerate the administration of the government.
