North Korea was deprived by the International Olympic Committee to attend the Winter Olympics in Beijing next year because unilaterally pulled from the Olympic Tokyo 2020.

They violated the Olympic Charter and did not fulfill the obligation to participate, Chairman of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach said on September 8, when announcing the decision to suspend the membership of the Olympic Committee

This decision means North Korea is not allowed to attend the Winter Olympics to take place in Beijing in 2022. However, Bach adds more personal athletes from Korea if qualified in Beijing still

North Korea in April announced withdrawing from the Tokyo 2020 Olympic to protect the athletes from Covid-19.

IOC has issued commitments to safety Olympic organizations with the construction proposal dedicated to Korea until the last minute, including the proposal to provide vaccines, but are denied, IoC affirmed.

North Korea has not responded to information.

North Korea is now one of the few countries that do not record Covid-19 CA, which has been confirmed by the World Health Organization (WHO).
