A large explosion was recorded at Russian Belbek air base on the Crimea peninsula on October 1, creating a black smoke column that could be seen from afar.
According to the media and Russian officials, the incident occurred after a plane carrying the ammunition slipped off the runway while landing at the airport at the Belbek military base in the city of Sevastopol.
Regarding the situation at Belbek base, a plane was dislocated from the runway when landing and causing the amount of ammunition to explode.
