Police Prime Minister Haiti announced the situation surrounded in this country after the assassination of President Jovenel Moise this morning.

Cluude Joseph said the decision to decide to declare the surrounded status posted after the unusual council meeting on July 7.

Haitian Law divided emergency situations in the country in three levels of low to high, starting from an emergency, to the surrounded condition and finally the status of war.

With the announcement of the surrounded status, all Haiti borders will be closed and set the laws that are imposed, whereby the Military and the Haitian national police (HNP) are empowered to enforce laws.

In the speech before the whole country, Mr. Joseph called on the calm people, and pledged to catch all people involved in the assassination of Moise President to be legally responsible.

I urged everyone calm and I regret to inform you about the president's departure.

President Jovenel Moise, 53, was shot dead on this morning, after a group of armed people attacked his home in Port-au-Prince.

The US condemned the assassination of President Haiti as a horrified crime while the EU warned the vilus violence that could happen.
