Brasilia Communisi City Rio de Janeiro arrested two French tourists for breaking and climbing the Savior Statue to watch dawn.
Clement Dumais, 28, and Paul Roux-dit-buisson, 27, sneaked into the 38-meter high statue area on August 22 and stayed there after the construction was closed during the day.
The two men pulled inside the statue before dawn up, climbing the spiral stairs and went out to the hatch on a statue to enjoy the city and the Guanabara Bay early in the morning.
