Trump is said to be mobilizing $ 2 billion supporters and donors to build the presidential library and museum in Florida.
President Trump is urging Dan Scavino, deputy chief of the White House office, to lead an effort to build a presidential museum and library worth $ 2 billion, according to sources familiar with the matter.
There has been no announcement of this plan, but the presidential library is likely to be located in Florida, where he will return to live in the Mar-a-Lago mansion after leaving office.
However, since the Capitol Hill riots on Jan. 6, a number of President Trump's advisers have been skeptical of the costly construction proposal.
"I don't know where they think they can get the money," said one Trump fundraiser.
The White House has not yet commented on the information.
Trump's $ 2 billion mobilization goal goes well beyond the prices of other presidential libraries.
