"I watched her interview and she spoke from a personal point of view," Trump said. "I guess you feel a little bit different, but that is her personal opinion. I can understand that."

Trump, who regularly criticizes the media reporting on him unfairly, added that although he was not "acquainted" with Meghan, he met her husband, Prince Harry, during a visit to England in June. Trump described Harry. "a good young man" and the whole family of the "great" prince.

The President of the United States made the comment after an interview with Meghan with British television channel ITV attracted attention in international media. Tears of tears, the 38-year-old princess said she had struggled to cope with the scrutiny of the public since stepping into the royal family, becoming Harry's wife and giving birth to son Archie.

"Look, any woman, especially when they're pregnant, they're really vulnerable, that's really hard," she said. "Few people ask me if I'm okay."

Meghan has publicly criticized Trump for the 2016 presidential campaign, calling him a "fake man", stigmatizing women and "divisive". She also vowed to vote for Hillary Clinton and move to Canada if Trump was elected.

In an interview before a visit to England in June, the White House boss expressed surprise at Meghan's dislike for him and suggested that she would shine on her new role in the royal family.

"I am sure she will perform well. She will be great. I hope she succeeds," Trump said.
