Trump urged Americans to "rise above partisan hatred," praising the achievements of his time, and wish the new administration good luck in his farewell message.
"Serving as everyone's president is an indescribable honor. Thank you for this great privilege," US President Donald Trump said in a nearly 20-minute video shared by the White House.
President Trump praised his administration's efforts to cut taxes, trade deals, and economic foreign policy, while upholding the domestic economy, the stock market situation and the Covid-19 vaccine.
"They call it a medical miracle. Another administration will take three, four, five, maybe even 10 years to develop a vaccine, but we did it in just nine months."

Trump previously declared not to attend Biden's inauguration on the afternoon of January 20.
Due to the complicated developments of Covid-19, Biden's inauguration will be significantly reduced, with only about 1,000 people present at the event.
