Greece: A tornado swept away an olive oil factory in Kalamata city, blasting a series of pieces of iron on Wednesday.
The tornado happened at an olive oil factory in the city of Kalamata, about 233 km southwest of the Greek capital Athens, at around 13h on November 4, destroying the plant's main warehouse. There were many workers inside the warehouse, but no one was injured after the tornado.
Security cameras recorded the moment when a violent tornado swept through the factory, speeding up corrugated iron sheets into the air, hitting cars parked on the side of the factory.
Tornadoes are considered an unusual phenomenon in Europe. According to the Athens National Weather Observatory, there were 107 tornadoes in Greece in 2018, but only three of them caused significant damage.
