Although born in Beirut, Carole is little known in Lebanon. Elegant businesswoman with fluttering blonde hair who is an American citizen and mainly lives in this country. In the 2000s, she founded a company that sold high-end apparel. Carole married Ghosn in 2016 at a lavish ceremony at the Palace of Versailles near Paris. A friend said that she was the one who calmed the impulsive personality of her husband.

Carole is president of Beauty Yachts, a registered company in the British Virgin Islands. The company was suspected of using money from Nissan to buy a luxury yacht. Authorities questioned Carole but she was not charged.

Carole was not with her husband on November 19, 2018, when he was arrested at an airport in Japan on charges of falsifying income and misusing the company's assets. She was prevented from seeing her husband during his detention and initially kept silent at first. But later, she actively defended her husband after he was released on bail and lived in an apartment in central Tokyo.

The tycoon's wife petitioned French President Emmanuel Macron, complaining in an interview with the Journal du Dimanche about the silence of the French authorities. Ghosn has three nationalities France, Lebanon and Brazil.

She also contacted the White House and gave a tearful interview to American media, saying the 65-year-old husband was in poor health and suffered "mental abuse" during his detention.

"For a month he was released on bail, the Ghosn couple tried to live a normal life, go for a walk, eat delicious meals," a friend in Tokyo said. However, photo reporters are always "pinned" outside the apartment, making them uncomfortable.

Ghosn's time on bail did not last long. He was arrested again at dawn on April 4, 2019, on charges of misappropriating Nissan. This event "photo photo to Carole", the friend said.

In interviews, Carole said that the prosecutor ransacked their 50-square-meter apartment, searched her grandmother, took her passport and even followed her to the toilet. Carole used a different passport to travel from Japan to France but returned a few days later to be questioned. She said that she had "nothing to hide".

"She is determined to fight for her husband for the love and belief that he is innocent. She will never leave her husband knowing that defending herself is the greatest challenge of his life," his friend said. the couple said.

By the end of April 2019, Ghosn was released on bail but must comply with strict regulations, including being monitored 24/7 by cameras outside the home, banned from abroad and restricted use of technology equipment. . He was also not allowed to see his wife and was only contacted on several occasions, in the presence of a lawyer.

Ghosn fled Japan to Lebanon on December 30, 2019, reunited with Carole. Some Lebanese news sites claim that Carole played a key role in planning her husband's escape plan. However, former Nissan chairman denied this information.

Japan has little chance of arresting Carole because Lebanon and Japan have no extradition treaty. If Carole traveled to a third country, Japan might be more likely to demand her arrest and extradition. However, Carole is unlikely to do so. She described reuniting with her husband in Lebanon as "the best gift in life".
