The United States fired at a residential area in Grantsville, Utah, on the evening of January 17, killing four people and injuring one.
The Grantsville Police Department said the incident occurred around 19h and the suspect was immediately arrested. Rhonda Fields from the Grantsville Police Department announced only one shooter and the community no longer faced any other danger.
Fields added that the identity of the suspect is currently unknown and Grantsville police are working hard to inform the families of the victims. The fifth victim was injured and is now being treated in a hospital.
Authorities have not determined the cause of the shooting as well as the relationship between the gunman and the victims. "This is a very rare action in our small city and surrounding areas," Fields said.
The investigation into the shooting is underway with the help of the Utah High Speed Patrol and the Tooele County Sheriff's Office.
