Pakistan The plane carrying the couple of the British Prince had to cancel plans to land in the capital Islamabad and diverted to the city of Lahore due to bad weather.
Correspondents with husband and wife Prince William and Kate said the British Air Force Voyager encountered a heavy thunderstorm with thunderstorms in Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, on October 17.
"The pilot flew in the air for an hour but the lightning and turbulence was so bad that we had to turn around," said Daily English correspondent Rebecca English, who was on the plane. "Few of us have ever experienced something so bad."
"To be honest, it was the most intense moment I had ever experienced on the plane," recalls Chris Ship.
Daily Farmer's correspondent Ben Farmer said the pilot tried to land twice, once at a military base in the city of Rawalpindi adjacent to Islamabad and the second at Islamabad International Airport, but they had to cancel the landing plan and back to Lahore, about 270 km away.
Everyone on the plane is safe. English said she was unsure when they could take off again. Kensington Power has not issued any notice.
The William and his wife are on a five-day visit to Pakistan and are the first members of the British royal family to visit Pakistan officially since 2006. The royal couple impressed them when they came to the October 15 evening of the Association Senior British fellow in the capital Islamabad on colorful tuk tuks.
