China today recorded 29 new deaths from nCoV, the lowest in a month, bringing the total number of deaths to 2,800.
China National Health Commission (NHC) today said 29 new deaths from nCoV in the country, including 26 in Hubei, three in Beijing, Heilongjiang and Henan. That is a sharp drop from 52 deaths yesterday, and China's lowest death rate since Jan. 28.
The NHC said the number of new cases of nCoV in the country was 433, of which 409 were in Hubei, bringing the total number of infections in mainland China to 78,497, of which 2,744 died, 32,502 were cured and 8,745 who are in critical condition.
New cases and deaths have been declining in China as more provinces have not detected more nCoV infections in recent days. The latest release shows that only 24 new cases have been recorded outside of Hubei epidemic, the lowest in more than a month.
The world currently records 82,166 cases of nCoV infection, 2,800 deaths and 32,812 people have been cured. South Korea, the world's second largest Covid-19 outbreak, recorded an additional 334 cases of nCoV positive, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 1,595.
