Japan An unidentified man slipped and went missing while live-streaming on his way to Mount Fuji.
The video of the man's live streaming video on October 28 showed a view of a snow-covered road to Mount Fuji and the victim told people watching the video that his path was dangerous.
"Am I on the right track? Much of the road has been snowed," the man said. "I'm slipping," he shouted suddenly, seemingly falling, the live-stream phone being dropped from his hand.
Some live-stream viewers quickly reported to the authorities, but a rescue helicopter took off shortly afterwards could not find him. Rescuers from Shizuoka and Yamanashi prefectures have been deployed to search for victims since early October 29.
Yesterday afternoon, they discovered a body at an altitude of about 3,000 meters in the mountains, said Masahiro Haruta, a police spokesman for Shizuoka Prefecture. However, Mr Haruta said it was still too early to conclude whether this was a live-stream man and trying to identify the victim.
Mount Fuji is over 3,770 meters high, located between Shizuoka and Yamanashi prefectures, considered one of the three sacred mountains of Japan, attracting hundreds of thousands of people to come here every year. However, the climbing season in Fuji has ended in September and local police have advised people not to climb here because the snow-covered roads are dangerous.
