In the complaint, MNG Jet said an employee of the airline had forged a flight charter to remove Ghosn's name from the document, confirming the hire of two of their aircraft to serve Ghosn's flight. is illegal.
"Mr. Ghosn's name does not appear on the record of any flight," MNG Jet said. Their two jets were leased to two "almost unrelated" customers, one of which traveled from Osaka, Japan to Istanbul, Turkey, and the other from Istanbul to Beirut. , Lebanon.
The company added that after learning that the two aircraft were leased to former Nissan chairman, they opened an internal investigation. An employee of MNG Jet later acknowledged the falsified records and asserted "self-acting in a personal capacity".
Japanese broadcaster NHK today also cited a source of the investigation, saying the surveillance camera filmed Ghosn leaving his home in Tokyo alone just before he escaped. The video was filmed around noon on December 29, 2019 and the former Nissan chairman did not return home afterwards.
Former Nissan chairman on December 31 announced that he fled to Beirut, the Lebanese capital to escape Japan's "fraudulent judicial system". The Turkish Interior Ministry is investigating Ghosn's transit in Istanbul while fleeing from Japan to Lebanon.
Ghosn said he will hold a press conference to announce the escape from Japan on January 8.
