Five attorneys, including the main lawyers, left Trump's legal team when the impeachment trial was only 10 days away.
Butch Bowers and Deborah Barbier, who are believed to be two of the chief lawyers of the former legal group Donald Trump, are no longer on the group.
Bowers, a famous attorney from Columbia, South Carolina, worked in the Justice Department under President George W. Bush.
Barbier has advocated for several prominent clients, including a Republican specialist involved in lobbying.
Josh Howard, a newly added North Carolina attorney to the group, has also left.
One source said the lawyers decided to leave because Trump wanted them to argue that there was mass election fraud and the election was stolen from him.
Trump's team and Bowers attorney have not yet commented on the information.
"The Democrats' attempts to impeach a retired president are completely unconstitutional and very bad for our country. In fact, 45 senators voted that it was.
The US Senate will begin the impeachment trial of former President Trump on February 9, after receiving a clause accusing him of "inciting riot" from the House of Representatives.
