India: The Matia villagers in Assam state have named a ferocious male elephant "Laden", after terrorist boss Osama bin Laden.

Rajen Rabha, a village resident, said Laden elephant on the evening of October 29 stomped on five people in his village. "But not only that, but Laden has attacked our village before, killed and destroyed our rice fields," Rabha said. That's why the villagers were terrified and named this elephant after the terrorist boss.

Assam leader Param Sharma, Paral Shuklabaidya, said the authorities, including wildlife experts, were considering what to do with the evil elephant after finding it. "There is an opinion that we should give the animal a sedative and put it in an uninhabited forest," Mr. Shuklabaidya said.

A source said the drone had spotted the Laden elephant in the Kankata reserve, about 16 km from where it killed five people on October 29. "The animal appears about once, twice, then goes to the forest," an Indian police said. Kohinoor Hussain, a villager in Matia, said they could only sleep after the animal was captured.

Terrorist bin Laden is the founder of al-Qaeda armed Islamic terrorist group. Bin Laden was killed by US special forces in May 2011 in Abbottabad, Pakistan, in a well-prepared campaign.
