The White House challenged Twitter by reshaping Trump's tweet, which was hidden by the social media giant on the pretext of "promoting violence."

"The president did not promote violence. He clearly condemned it. Twitter's wicked, biased censors made it clear that Twitter was a publishing unit, not a platform," the White House said.

Dan Scavino, President of Trump's social network and Twitter manager, also responded strongly to the social network giant's move.

The White House move comes after Twitter hid the Trump tweet, suggesting the possibility of the National Guard shooting at protesters in Minneapolis, citing "promoting violence".

"These thugs are defiling the memory of George Floyd. I will not let that happen. I have just talked to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the military will support. We will check."

This post of the US President was alerted by Twitter for violating anti-advocacy rules, making it impossible for users to see the content without clicking the "View" button next to the warning line.

The White House boss later accused Twitter of not handling the "lies and propaganda" of China or the US Democratic Party, but only the Republican Party and him.

Twitter's decision came after Trump signed a social networking decree, which deprives social networking companies of their legal immunities under Article 230 of the Decent Media Act.

The president and the social networking giant have been in conflict since Twitter labeled two of his tweets on May 27 as "unfounded" with an exclamation mark.
